Join us for this wonderful annual tradition - 40 days of morning meditation in the community of others.  You're welcome to join us in the studio or online, and come whenever you can.  Our theme for this year's feast is the Eight-Fold Path, and each session will begin with a short introductory talk from Liz about one of these practices. Taiji 24 Movement Short Form class

Thursdays at 6pm - In studio

The 24-movement Taiji Short Form is a great way to get started with Taiji! This simplified form (derived from the YangStyle Taijiquan Long Form) is an excellent, whole-body exercise. It focuses on the health and healing benefits of Taiji and is suitable for all fitness levels. Learn More

Taiji Sword & Saber class begins immediately after the Short Form class on Thursdays at 7pm, also taught by Ariana Berns.  Beginners and continuing students are welcome.  Class cards and monthly memberships apply.

Four Seasons Qigong

Please join us as we explore how the ancient wisdom of Chinese medicine can help you prepare your body for the changing seasons. Advanced Martial Taiji Seminar March 21

Qin Na - the joint locking art

Explore Taiji Qin Na (pronounced Chin Na) the joint locking art that makes the Taiji Quan an effective fighting art. In this seminar we will examine how Taiji body movement, stepping and angling can allow you to quickly and effectively disable your opponent. The seminar will teach basic Yang Coil entries, along with Several Qin Na techniques for locking the Wrist, Elbow and Shoulder. Emphasis will be placed on good body posture and position, effective body movement, and basic joint locking. The movements explored are derived from the Yang Style Taiji Long form. This seminar is open to existing GateWay and YMAA students.  All students in the class will experience having their joints locked and locking others.
